So I was recently reminded to think about what I say before I say it, which has resulted in me continuing a friendship with a sister in Christ. I am truly thankful for that because I'd rather have a friendship with her than a relationship that, for the moment, wouldn't work out, which I'll get into at another time. I think that the fact that I don't feel like I need a relationship to fill a void in my life is something that will not change, but I will continue to focus on the more important things and then have a relationship later on down the road. If anything, I am thankful for the learning experience that has resulted from getting to know her as well as chewing the fat with her when our dialogue was more dating-focused. It can be hard for me sometimes since I don't have a lot of people in my life around my age to talk to regularly, so I feel blessed to have someone to relate to. I'm not sure what to say other than that, but I remain optimistic about the possibility of us having a relationship -- whether that happens tomorrow or next week or next year or next lifetime. I'm glad I took it slow with her because that helped me to avoid any disappointment.
