Ninjas Don't Feel the Cold

My poster project that I got back in my Visual Art class on Tuesday. The project was basically come up with something that represents your interests and a caption/phrase to go along wth it. My teacher told me this was my best work all year and I agreed with her. I think it's the best work I've done in a while, for that matter. In case you're wondering, I got an A on this, which I was quite happy with. Heck, she even matted it for me.

Anyhow, I got inspired by the illustration of Raphael in TMNT Volume 1 #11 and decided I would do a rough draft of it and then transfer it to my final, which I did. I colored it it and whatnot, which took me a long time, but that was OK. That was part of the reason why it didn't end up at the art show and also the critic type o' people wouldn't have allowed it to be featured in the art show because it wasn't up to their caliber of work -- yet it was, I guess, ironically my best piece o' artwork all year. If the art show wasn't competitive in any manner, then my piece would've ended up in it, which makes me wish the art show was at my school, not Prospect High or whatever, and/or the teacher had the power to submit my piece no matter what. I don't care what the snobby, S.O.B. critics say anyway cuz my artwork kicks all kinda ass.

With that off my chest, yeah, I know reptiles are cold-blooded, so don't remind me. My teacher suggested that the caption or whatever should say, "NINJAS DON'T FEEL THE COLD," so I decided to go along with it, even though Raph's keeping watch and not really worried about how cold he is. I figure the mutation made the Turtles warm-blooded anyhow. Plus, his feet are in the snow and he's breathing, which kinda makes it obvious that it's pretty freakin' cold for just about anybody. And if you'll notice, the moon's out in all its semi-circle shaped glory.
